Question:
Is ExamView compatible with Blackboard 6.0?

Answer:
The latest Blackboard export program supports Blackboard 6.0 - 6.2 and is available at the following URL: http://www.fscreations.com/download_updates.php

Included with the update is a new option in the Export dialog that allows the instructor to use the Rationale as feedback. Blackboard supports "Feedback when correct" and "Feedback when incorrect" fields. When you turn on the option to use ExamView's rationale, the content in the rationale field is copied to BOTH of Blackboard's feedback fields so that the student sees the content regardless of whether they answer correctly or incorrectly.

Question:
I would like to use something other than the pencil and notepad "header.gif" at the top of my Internet tests. Where does this file come from? How can I substitute my own header graphic?

Answer:
You can create your own graphics using the same filenames with the same approximate dimensions (pixel width 568; pixel height 184).

  • Store the images in a unique location on your hard drive.
  • Create an HTML test using ExamView.
  • The image files for a test are stored in an accompanying folder
    (e.g., chap1_files).
  • Copy the images you created to that folder

When you open the HTML test it should use the graphics you copied to the test folder
